On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the TALLHEDA project was presented at the MY FARM event, held at the Conference and Cultural Center of the University of Patras (Room II.8). The event, which also offered online participation, was organized within the framework of the European project MYFARM.
The MYFARM project aims to promote multifunctionality in agriculture by integrating education, entrepreneurship, and policy support to strengthen rural resilience. Its mission is to equip farmers, agrifood professionals, and policymakers with the skills, tools, and methodologies needed to embrace new opportunities in the evolving rural landscape.
During the event, TALLHEDA was showcased as a complementary initiative that advances digital transformation and innovation in the agrifood sector. The presentation highlighted how TALLHEDA contributes to empowering agricultural and research communities through:
The Virtual Innovation Hub (VIH): a dynamic digital platform that facilitates collaboration, training, and knowledge sharing between academia, industry, and stakeholders.
Training Seminars and Staff Mobilities: designed to build digital and entrepreneurial skills among students, researchers, and young agripreneurs.
Brainstorming Visits and Knowledge Exchange Activities: encouraging innovation and cooperation between institutions and the private sector.
The presentation emphasized the strong synergies between TALLHEDA and MYFARM, particularly in fostering sustainable rural development through the integration of digital technologies, multifunctionality, and innovation-driven practices. Both projects share a vision of supporting the agricultural sector’s transition toward resilience, sustainability, and inclusiveness by equipping key actors with the right skills and networks.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, explore best practices, and identify collaboration paths among European initiatives working toward a greener, smarter, and more connected rural Europe.
