The TALLHEDA project was recently presented at the DigiBuild meeting held in Athens, an event dedicated to advancing digital transformation and innovation in Vocational Education and Training (VET) across Europe and beyond.
DigiBuild focuses on empowering VET providers and trainers with the digital skills and tools necessary to modernize their teaching methods—particularly in the green sector. The initiative aligns with the strategic priorities of Honduras and Costa Rica, aiming to strengthen the relevance, quality, and attractiveness of VET programs through digitalization and closer collaboration with the labor market.
During the meeting, representatives from TALLHEDA showcased the project’s vision, objectives, and key achievements in digital transformation for the agrifood sector. The presentation emphasized how TALLHEDA’s activities—such as its Virtual Innovation Hub (VIH), training seminars, and brainstorming visits—serve as practical models for enhancing digital competencies, promoting sustainability, and fostering collaboration among academia, industry, and regional stakeholders.
The TALLHEDA team also highlighted the project’s strong alignment with DigiBuild’s goals of developing demand-driven, future-oriented education systems that respond to the evolving needs of the green and digital economy. The exchange fostered opportunities for potential synergies between the two initiatives, especially in the areas of digital learning methodologies, cross-sectoral partnerships, and green innovation.
The meeting concluded with fruitful discussions on how shared European expertise and collaborative platforms like TALLHEDA’s Virtual Innovation Hub can contribute to the global effort of modernizing VET systems and building resilient, sustainable economies.
