The TALLHEDA project is pleased to announce a new clustering collaboration with ECONUTRI, a Horizon Europe project dedicated to advancing sustainable and climate-smart nutrient management in agriculture.

ECONUTRI aims to optimize, validate, and demonstrate nature-based innovative solutions within a holistic framework designed to reduce nitrogen (NO3-N) and phosphorus (P) leaching, control nitrogen losses through ammonia volatilization, and mitigate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions originating from both plant and animal production systems. By integrating environmental protection with agricultural productivity, ECONUTRI contributes to improving air, soil, and water quality while supporting global climate change mitigation efforts.

Beyond technological development, ECONUTRI focuses on dissemination, scaling up innovative practices, and providing training and education to farmers and scientists across Europe and China. The project promotes the adoption of nature-based nutrient management tools that enhance sustainability and resilience in agricultural systems.

The clustering between TALLHEDA and ECONUTRI creates important synergies between Digital Agriculture, research excellence, and sustainable nutrient management practices. While TALLHEDA strengthens higher education, capacity building, and digital innovation in agriculture, ECONUTRI contributes advanced environmental solutions that can benefit from digital tools, data-driven monitoring, and knowledge exchange platforms.

Through this collaboration, both projects will explore opportunities for joint dissemination activities, knowledge exchange, stakeholder engagement, and cross-project learning. The partnership reinforces a shared commitment to fostering innovation, sustainability, and scientific excellence within the European agricultural landscape.

This new clustering initiative marks another step toward building stronger connections between EU-funded projects and maximizing their collective impact for a greener and more resilient agricultural future.

Stay tuned for upcoming joint activities and collaborative initiatives between TALLHEDA and ECONUTRI.
