A group of forward-thinking farmers from the fertile Kopais Plain region took a major step into the future of agriculture with a visit to the Smart Agro Hub, where they experienced firsthand how digital innovation is reshaping the farming landscape.

During the visit, farmers were introduced to the world of smart agriculture through an immersive, hands-on program designed to demonstrate how technology can drive productivity, sustainability, and resilience in farming.

Embracing Smart Farming Solutions

The visit began with an Introduction to Smart Farming, where participants learned about the core principles behind precision agriculture. Technologies such as sensors, drones, and real-time data analytics were showcased, highlighting their role in making informed decisions that enhance crop yields while conserving resources.

Digital Tools at Work

A key highlight of the day was the presentation of digital tools tailored to support daily operations on the field. Among the featured solutions was Tallheda, a cutting-edge platform that is revolutionizing how farmers monitor and manage their crops, soil health, and resource usage. The farmers had the opportunity to explore how tools like Tallheda are simplifying complex tasks and enabling precision-driven farming.

A Walk Through Innovation

The visit concluded with a guided tour of the Hub’s experimental unit, a living laboratory of agricultural innovation. Farmers witnessed in action automated irrigation systems, intelligent fertilization solutions, and integrated crop protection technologies—all backed by data-driven insights. The unit serves as a model for how modern farms can operate more efficiently and sustainably.

Supporting a Digital Future for Agriculture

The event underscored the Smart Agro Hub’s commitment to empowering farmers with the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving agricultural landscape. As the sector faces increasing challenges—from climate variability to market demands—digital transformation stands out as a crucial pathway forward.

“We’re proud to support the digital transformation of agriculture and to stand alongside farmers as they explore new, smarter ways to cultivate the land,” said a representative from Smart Agro Hub.

The visit marks another step toward building a more resilient and technologically empowered agricultural community in the Kopais Plain—and beyond.
