On Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) visited the 7th High School of Nea Smyrni “Estia” in Athens as part of outreach and dissemination activities of the TALLHEDA project.

During the visit, Associate Professor Maria Ntaliani and PhD Candidate Effrosyni Bitakou presented the European project TALLHEDA, introducing its objectives, scope, and role in advancing digital agriculture research and education. The presentation also included real-world examples of cutting-edge technologies currently being applied in the agricultural sector.

The session was designed to be highly interactive, encouraging the active participation of students through questions, discussions, and exchanges of ideas. Topics such as innovation in agriculture, digital technologies, and sustainability sparked lively dialogue and helped students gain insight into modern agricultural practices and future career opportunities in the agrifood sector.

This school visit reflects TALLHEDA’s commitment to raising awareness among young people and promoting early engagement with science, technology, and innovation in agriculture. By reaching out to secondary education institutions, the project contributes to inspiring the next generation of researchers, innovators, and professionals in the digital and green transition of agriculture.
