On 15 December 2025, the TALLHEDA project was presented during the Econutri Online Hackathon Series titled “Sustainable Fertilization of Horticultural Crops: Improving DSS Performance.” The presentation was delivered by the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) as part of the hackathon’s knowledge-sharing and capacity-building activities.

Within the context of the event, AUA presented TALLHEDA under the title “Building Alliances for Excellence in Digital Agriculture Research and Education.” The presentation highlighted the project’s objectives, key activities, and contribution to strengthening research and educational excellence in digital agriculture, with a particular focus on collaboration, innovation, and sustainability.

The Econutri Hackathon Series aims to bring together researchers, students, practitioners, and innovators to address real-world challenges in sustainable nutrient management and to enhance the performance of Decision Support Systems (DSS) for horticultural crops. In this framework, TALLHEDA was showcased as a complementary initiative that supports the integration of advanced digital technologies, interdisciplinary collaboration, and capacity building in the agrifood sector.

The presentation emphasized TALLHEDA’s role in fostering alliances between higher education institutions, research centers, and industry, as well as its contribution through activities such as training seminars, brainstorming visits, and the Virtual Innovation Hub (VIH), which serves as a digital repository and collaboration space for project stakeholders.

TALLHEDA’s participation in the Econutri Online Hackathon Series reinforces the project’s commitment to promoting sustainable, data-driven agricultural practices and to supporting innovation that responds to environmental challenges and the evolving needs of modern horticulture.
