The TALLHEDA project was proudly presented at the regional conference "Kvalitet zemljišta AP Vojvodine – značaj diverzifikacije proizvodnje za očuvanje zemljišta", held in Novi Sad, on December 6th, 2024, with the abstract titled "Digitalna poljoprivreda u visokoobrazovnim institucijama – projekat TALLHEDA" ("Digital Agriculture in Higher Education Institutions – The TALLHEDA Project").
An oral presentation on the project was delivered by Prof. Dr Vladimir Ćirić, who introduced the main goals, structure, and expected impact of TALLHEDA to an audience of experts, researchers, and policymakers. His presentation emphasized how integrating digital agriculture into higher education is key to equipping future professionals with the skills needed to face modern agricultural challenges.
The conference focused on soil quality in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and the significance of diversified agricultural production in preserving soil health. In this context, the TALLHEDA project stood out as a forward-thinking initiative, supporting sustainable practices through digital innovation and education reform.
Prof. Dr Ćirić highlighted how TALLHEDA contributes to the modernization of academic programs by introducing digital tools, precision agriculture techniques, and data-driven decision-making into the curriculum. These elements are vital for ensuring sustainable soil management and long-term agricultural resilience in the region.
Participation in this conference provided an excellent opportunity for the TALLHEDA consortium to showcase its achievements, connect with other stakeholders in the field, and reinforce its commitment to supporting knowledge-based, sustainable agriculture across the Western Balkans.
