TALLHEDA was proudly featured at the 15th CASEE Conference, held in Novi Sad, Serbia, under the theme “Green transitions in agriculture, forestry, veterinary medicine and food systems under a changing climate.” The event brought together academic and research institutions across Central and Southeast Europe to discuss pressing challenges and innovations driving sustainable transitions in the agri-food sectors.

The University of Novi Sad Faculty of Agriculture (UNSFA) played a key role in presenting TALLHEDA to an international audience of researchers, educators, and policy experts. The project was spotlighted through three distinct abstracts and accompanying presentations:

“Integrating digital agriculture in higher education – TALLHEDA project story”

This abstract was also followed by an oral presentation offered insights into the project’s mission to bridge the gap between emerging digital tools and academic curricula. It emphasized the importance of preparing future agricultural professionals to operate in data-driven, technology-rich environments.

“Physics-informed and biology-informed neural networks in precision farming – possible avenues for application”

This contribution explored cutting-edge machine learning approaches and their potential integration within precision agriculture frameworks, aligning with TALLHEDA’s vision of intelligent and informed farming.

“Usage of Multispectral Imaging for Early Detection of Hazelnut Powdery Mildew”

Demonstrating the practical application of digital tools in plant health monitoring, this abstract highlighted how multispectral imaging can be leveraged for early disease detection—an area of growing importance within the TALLHEDA platform.

Participation in the CASEE Conference underscored TALLHEDA’s commitment to advancing sustainable, climate-resilient agriculture through digital innovation and academic collaboration. The feedback and engagement received during the event further reinforce the project’s relevance and potential for impact across research, education, and practice.
